BMC BladLogic Database Automation (BBDA) offers an API and a series of connectors that make it easy to integrate BBDA to any infrastructure management product, such as ticketing, datacenter automation, run book automation, or ITIL management system. BBDA offers the benefits of built-in automation, centralized tracking, and database awareness, while still integrating to other systems for authorization, authentication, and accounting.

Datacenter Automation/Run Book Automation

BBDA allows organizations to maximize the value realized from a generalized automation solution eliminating the herculean task of creating/maintaining scripts to patch, deploy, configure, etc. their diverse database infrastructure. These generalized solutions can easily tap into BBDA's deep automation content providing the user with a consistent experience and ensuring that all events are centrally tracked.

Ticketing/ITIL/CMDB

BBDA easily integrates to ticketing and ITIL management systems allowing enterprises to centrally log change events and ensure adequate controls are in place before automated events are kicked off. It can easily push or pull data to a centralized CMDB eliminating the need for companies to create custom collectors for the database infrastructure

Authentication

BBDA can integrate with any centralized authentication system (LDAP, AD, other SSO) to reduce user management overhead and maintain security.
